This Time Last Year...

This time last year, I just resumed with my first company Dimasoft to start my journey into SEO. It's been exactly 12 months, today the 13th of October, wow! How time flies...

I have to say it's been a long, exciting year for me! Hope I've been able to carry you guys along, and thanks for sticking around too... I've learnt the definition of SEO, although I've blogged about this in the past, I'll just give a short summary. Search Engine Optimisation is process/strategy involved in optimising a website to make it visible on the Internet so as to increase overall traffic and goal conversions of the website. The strategies involved in SEO could and should range from On-page optimisation, to Link building and Social Media to name a few. I still have so many people asking me about it, so I guess defining SEO never gets old...

After getting involved with SEO, I figured since everyone was doing it, I might as well join the act and start blogging. I thought it would be a great way to learn SEO by me experimenting and documenting my thoughts and ideas of SEO as I learn it. All I can say is it's been great! I know it was one of the things which got me my current job, which I'm absolutely loving.

I've learn so much about SEO and I know it's just the beginning. Sadly, my job has been so great that it's taking so much of my time, hence my reduced blogging schedule, I can only apologise for this. Hopefully, as I settle into my life, I'll be able to pick up my blogging schedule, so fingers crossed! But either way, I still try my best to keep up with my mails, so please, keep'em coming!

Going forward, I'm going to have a few posts on Conversions and Reporting, something I've being doing a lot of lately. I never really knew their importance until I started dealing with them almost daily. I should be a pro at SEO Reporting by now, honestly! And working with Excel? That's almost in the bag too. I never realised how handy Microsoft Excel could be! Especially for visualisation, data could be extremely boring and bland if it doesn't have graphs and charts to go with it. But that's all for another post. In the meantime...

Happy one year anniversary to me!
