I've had been reading about Guest blogging for a bit now and figured, yes it was something I would get around to doing some day. I never figured it would be this soon, and it wasn't the way I planned it either! I thought I would be the one writing a guest blog, not posting a guest blog, but then I hadn't found this really cool website which lets you do both! What people think of! Why can't I have ideas like that?
Guest blogging is about publishing posts from other bloggers and writing articles for other blogs. I know of a lot of blogs that do this and it really helps. But once again, this might not be for you, especially if you don't have the time. Now when I say 'time' it could mean two things. One, you only have enough time to post articles just enough for your own blog or two, you just can't be bothered.
In the past few weeks I've come across a lot of useful tools to help my blog and although a lot of them are still in experimental stage, they are already showing potentials so I just decided I couldn't keep it all to myself, I just had to let it out! I've also given some benefits of guest blogging associated with these tools so have a look.
My Blog Guest provides a common ground for people who love to blog and those who love to have bloggers. This way you get to eat your cake and have it. You can get your articles published by a blogger that shares your taste in blogging or you can publish someone else's post on your blog. Frankly, I see it as a win win situation. If you're the blogger you get a link from the site that publishes your post, and if your article is interesting you stand the chance of picking up new followers as well. On the other hand, if you're Blog publisher, you get new blood on your blog, something fresh and new from someone else, especially if you're getting too busy to write as many posts as you would normally like.
I just discovered the Blog Engage community a few days ago as well. Its a social bookmarking site like Stumbleupon and Digg but more closely knitted. I mean this in a very good way, cos your blog will get reviewed by people, and I mean REAL people, who might actually drop a comment or two if your post is good. Unlike Stumbleupon, who in my own opinion give me lots of traffic with high bounce rates, that's not really cool. I've only been at Blog Engage for a short time but I've already found lots of bloggers like myself with interesting articles so I'm definitely going to hang there some more.
So far these are some of my blogging sites... I've only been blogging for a few months so I know there are a lot of other cool sites out there doing the same thing or maybe even more but hey, I'm only one person! If you've found a site that you think would be very useful to bloggers then please drop me a line about the site and I'll add it on here.
