The New SEOmoz Toolbar

I just downloaded the new SEOmoz toolbar earlier today and I have been having a play with it.

I must say, I really am loving it! I would have to say one of the best features for me is the Search Engine Rank Position overlay. When I heard about it, I thought, hmmmm, hasn't SEO Quake already done something like that before? But then I actually tried it and I was really impressed and thought it was way cooler than SEO Quake's.

For one thing, the Mozbar(as I will refer to it from now on) SERP Overlay is short and sweet, unlike SEO Quake, which to me, tried to cramp everything into a few lines, which just made it look crowded. It is simply a one liner with all the basic information you need to either be interested or disinterested with the website. It makes good use some of the SEOmoz Authority Metrics like Domain Authority and Page Authority which I am beginning to get addicted to (so long Page Rank...) and I believe a lot of people share my views as well. It is updated a lot more regularly than PageRank and it is not a major mystery to everyone, that is a plus as well.

One down said about the new Mozbar is the fact that some metrics are not open to the public but to PRO members only. They've got bills to pay, right?

There is also a direct link to their Open Site Explorer tool which can further analyse the website, providing you with information like its top pages, source of links, type of anchor texts being used by links, types of links (whether it is a No-follow or a 301 redirect) and other nice features.

So far so good I'm definitely loving the new toolbar and I will be talking more about it as I continue to play with it.

Let me know what you think about the new toolbar, will you?
